In this experience, students:
- Explore and make observations in each of California’s five regions.
- Record their ideas and what they notice and in a Roadtrip Notebook.
- Build understanding toward California History-Social Science Content Standard: Identify the state capital and describe the various regions of California, including how their characteristics and physical environments (e.g., water, landforms, vegetation, climate) affect human activity (4.1.3).
