Where and how does carbon move through Earth’s systems in different places around the world?
In this activity, students will create a VFT to:
- Connect the major processes of the Carbon Cycle to the living and nonliving things in the world around them.
- Contextualize how human activity impacts these processes, organisms, and structures in the location of their VFT.
- Showcase their understanding of the NGSS Disciplinary Core Ideas: Cycles of Matter and Energy Transfer in Ecosystems (LS2.B) and Human Impacts on Earth Systems (ESS3.C).
-
Designed for Grades 6-12
